Hygienist

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic and enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care through professional dental cleanings and the application of sealants, with a strong emphasis on pediatric dentistry. A positive attitude, commitment to teamwork, and a genuine passion for creating comfortable and engaging dental experiences for children are essential. This role also involves educating patients on oral hygiene practices and contributing to the long-term health of their teeth and gums.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure aseptic techniques are followed to prevent infection.
Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and patient management.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in dental hygiene with experience in pediatric dentistry being a plus. Familiarity with Eaglesoft and Dentrix software is highly desirable. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is essential, along with knowledge of medical coding and documentation review. Proficiency in chairside assisting and understanding of general dentistry practices will be beneficial for success in this role. A commitment to ongoing professional development is encouraged to enhance skills in patient care and assessment.
