Part-Time Hygienist
LOCATION
Atlanta, GAWe are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team, with the position available for a two-day work week on Monday and Wednesday or Monday and Thursday, with an option to extend to a three-day work week. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be integral to our practice, performing a range of clinical and patient-focused tasks to support oral health and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosing oral health conditions.
Conduct thorough oral cancer screenings and report any abnormalities to the dentist.
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations for home care.
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including preparing and sterilizing instruments.
Maintain dental implants through regular check-ups, including cleaning and assessing the condition of implants.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient in taking vital signs and accurately recording patient information.
Skilled in patient assessment, including evaluating medical history and identifying potential risks or contraindications.
Familiarity with dental practice management systems such as Softdent Practice Works, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment.
Knowledge of dental implant maintenance procedures and ability to perform associated tasks.
