Dental Assistant

Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the Dentrix system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform reception duties as needed.
Assist with prosthodontic procedures, including the preparation of dental impressions.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical coding is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix software; experience with Epic is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing medical records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
