About the Role:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive oral care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, evaluating patient dental health, and educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices. Your ability to make patients feel comfortable and supported will be key to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' oral health, including reviewing medical history and assessing periodontal health.
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and administering local anesthesia as applicable.
- Utilize digital radiography and other diagnostic tools to identify issues and collaborate with the dentist regarding treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and overall oral healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records while ensuring compliance with all relevant health regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a dental hygienist in a general practice setting.
- An active dental hygienist license.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster meaningful interactions with patients and team members.
- Proficient with the latest dental hygiene technologies and procedures.
Work Environment:
We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment. You will have access to onsite parking for your convenience, and our office supplies all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including latex gloves and regular masks. You will typically spend 30 to 60 minutes with each patient, offering you the opportunity to deliver personalized care. Lunch breaks are provided for 30 minutes.
Compensation:
This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $50+ depending on experience, along with a positive and collaborative workplace culture that prioritizes both professional growth and patient satisfaction.
