We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our warm and welcoming team in a private fee-for-service general practice. Our office specializes in providing exceptional cosmetic, family, and implant dentistry in Bergen County, and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of care to our patients.
In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to interact with patients one-on-one, ensuring they receive thorough and gentle cleanings while fostering a positive dental experience. As a Dental Hygienist, you will typically spend 45-60 minutes with each patient, allowing you to build lasting relationships while performing essential tasks that include chairside assistance, oral hygiene instruction, periodontal maintenance, and more.
We are fully digital and use advanced technologies such as Dexis, Dentrix, and iTero, streamlining our processes and improving patient outcomes. Your role will involve performing dental charting, managing patient records, and data entry, all while ensuring adherence to sterile procedures and practice protocols. Proficiency in taking digital X-rays and using an intraoral camera will also be essential to your success in this position.
Qualified candidates will have at least three years of experience in a dental hygiene role, demonstrating exceptional ability in performing prophy, debridements, scaling and root planing (SRP), and nitrous oxide administration and monitoring. Strong communication skills are vital for effectively educating patients about their oral health, scheduling their appointments, and facilitating patient recall.
Our modern practice is equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields, goggles, nitrile gloves, and regular masks, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and patients. We offer a private parking lot for added convenience.
