This opportunity is currently available because the existing dental hygienist is on maternity leave from September through December. In addition, due to the continued growth of our one-location private practice, this role has the potential to become a permanent position. We are looking for someone who can step in confidently, provide excellent care, and contribute to a positive and efficient clinical experience.

As a dental hygienist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive preventive care while supporting overall oral health and patient education. You will work with one patient at a time, typically spending one hour with each patient to allow for thorough cleanings, assessments, charting, and personalized instruction. This schedule supports a calm, unhurried approach that allows you to build trust and provide high-quality care.

Key responsibilities include performing periodontal charting, scaling and root planning when indicated, coronal polishing, taking diagnostic x-rays, applying fluoride and other preventive treatments, and documenting findings accurately in the patient record. You will also educate patients on proper home care, oral hygiene techniques, and the importance of routine preventive visits. Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner are essential for helping patients feel comfortable and informed.
