Registered Dental Assistant

Assist Dentist Chair-side
Turn on water, compressor, & vacuum
Takes and develops X-rays
Works with post-op patients explaining instructions
Prepares treatment room for patient by following procedures.
Turn on computers, X-ray machines and panoramic unit,
Check for cleanliness and neatness.
Check supplies.
Setup for the procedure indicated: restorative, crown/ bridge, or RCT.
Empty all cold sterile storage containers and allow them to dry.
Trim models and get lab cases ready to go out. Check on lab cases for coming week
Clean operatory after each patient.
Prepare room for the next patient.
Clean used impression trays on specified day.
Keep lab and instruments clean.
Conduct inventory control
Ability to handle multi-functions and completing tasks in orderly and accurate fashion
