We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric dentistry and be skilled in providing exceptional chairside support to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Perform vital signs checks and assist with medical imaging as required.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Skills:

- Proficiency in digital practice management software like OpenDental.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and chairside assisting techniques.
- Familiarity with medical documentation, coding, and records management.
- Ability to operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes.
- Understanding of pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- A compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing excellent patient care in a pediatric setting. -
