LOOKING FOR A SEASONED DENTAL ASSISTANT

At Special Care Dentistry, we provide a multidisciplinary approach for patients with disabilities and special needs. Our primary focus is to enable and increase treatment capacity for patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and individual behavioral differences.

We have extensive experience in caring for special need individuals with conditions such as Intellectual disability, Developmental Delay, Dementia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimer, ADHD, ADD, and Down Syndrome, to name a few.

We are looking for a high energetic individual who can assist the dentist, and lead the other assistants thru with the day-to-day operations and duties. Must have a knowledge of dental terminology and procedural codes. Must have good communication skills. MUST havve an active RDA License. Must be certified to take bitewings, periapical xrays, and full mouth series of intra-oral radio graphs. Must be efficient with patient flow and appointment turnaround time. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the patients. Familiar with HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.

Minimal Qualifications for Consideration

High School Diploma or Equivalent
RDA License
Ability to oversee daily, weekly and monthly operations
Ability to Travel on Occassion
Knowledge of dental terminology
Self-starter with high organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience working with special needs patients is a plus but not required
Computer experience using Open Dental Patient Data Base is a plus but not required
Spanish- not required
