Temporary Dentist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Temporary General Dentist to join our established practice in Bowie MD, while our provider is on maternity leave.

This part-time temporary position runs from December 2026 through April 2027 (Thurs & Fri). You will be joining a supportive, highly skilled team and taking over a well-maintained, full patient caseload from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver proficient care and comprehensive general dentistry care to patients of all ages (examinations, restorations, endodontics, extractions, crowns/bridges, and preventative care).
Formulate, discuss, and implement individualized treatment plans.
Direct and supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants.
Maintain accurate, timely electronic dental records (EDR) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA & HIPAA.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Dental License in the District of Columbia (D.C.).
Certifications: Active DEA license and CPR/BLS certification.
Experience: Minimum of [1–2+] years of clinical practice preferred.
Strong communication, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent patient care.
