We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team in a general practice setting. As we prioritize excellent patient care, we are looking for a passionate professional who shares our commitment to providing high-quality dental services. This full-time position allows for a flexible schedule of 3-4 days per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while still dedicating yourself to improving patients' oral health.
In this integral role, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings and conducting assessments of patients' oral health. Your expertise will extend to taking dental x-rays, educating patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, and providing personalized treatment recommendations based on each patient’s needs. Collaboration with dentists to assist with various procedures will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
The successful candidate will exemplify strong organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling you to maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories efficiently. Good communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with a diverse range of patients and colleagues to ensure that everyone is informed and comfortable throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients on best practices for maintaining oral hygiene.
- Perform dental cleanings and other preventive services with precision.
- Assess patients’ oral health and communicate findings effectively.
- Take and interpret dental x-rays to support diagnosis.
- Assist in the administration of local anesthetics during procedures.
- Execute root planing and scaling procedures with care and expertise.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Dentrix software and relevant continuing education that demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development.
