We are seeking an experienced dental hygienist to join our general dentistry practice in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience and a strong foundation in modern dental hygiene procedures and clinical support. Responsibilities include performing thorough dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening and treatment, calculus removal, fluoride treatment, and oral hygiene instruction. You will also provide patient education, take and evaluate x-rays using digital imaging systems, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate dental charting and patient records. Additional responsibilities may include chairside assistance, sterilization and infection control procedures, treatment planning support, and patient recall coordination.
We are looking for someone skilled in a broad range of clinical services and technology, including ultrasonic scaling, cavitron use, antimicrobial placement, antibiotic therapy, chlorhexidine, Arestin therapy, Atridox, Periochip placement, irrigation agents, Oraqix, nitrous oxide administration, pit and fissure sealants, impressions, bleaching, whitening tray fabrication, Zoom whitening, and pediatric hygiene. Experience with special needs patients, sleep apnea, TMJ disorders, gingivitis treatment, oral pathology screening, and soft tissue management is highly valued. Familiarity with bone grafting support, four-handed dentistry, sterile procedures, and CPR certification is also preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable using DentiMax, Dentrix, DEXIS, Microsoft Office, and digital/intraoral camera systems. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team are essential.
