Key Responsibilities:

As a Dental Hygienist, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Performing comprehensive dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
- Conducting oral health assessments and evaluations, recording patient histories, and educating patients about proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Assisting with radiographic procedures, including taking and developing X-rays to aid in diagnosis.
- Collaborating with the dentist to develop individualized patient care plans and treatment protocols.
- Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and practice policies.
- Educating patients on preventive care, including dietary recommendations and proper oral hygiene practices.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- A valid dental hygiene license from the state of practice.
- An Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and display a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in using dental technology and equipment, including digital radiography.
- A commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry standards and practices.
