We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated dental hygienist to join our busy general dental practice. This is a full-time opportunity for a NYS Registered Dental Hygienist who takes pride in delivering exceptional clinical care and values being part of a supportive, collaborative team.
Our practice is built around a strong commitment to excellence, growth, overall health, joy, and meaningful relationships. We believe oral health is a vital part of whole-body wellness, and we are looking for someone who shares that perspective. The ideal candidate is someone who is driven, reliable, forward-thinking, and genuinely cares about patients. A positive attitude and strong teamwork are essential.
What makes our hygiene department unique is the support provided by a dedicated Hygiene Coordinator who helps manage scheduling thoughtfully. This allows the hygiene team to stay productive without being overbooked, creating the time needed to provide thorough, personalized patient care. You will work with one patient at a time in 1-hour blocks, allowing you to focus on quality, comfort, and building lasting patient relationships.
This role involves a wide range of clinical and patient care responsibilities, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening and treatment, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, fluoride treatment, periodontal charting, digital x-rays, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide administration and monitoring, ultrasonic scaling, and more. Experience with instruments and systems such as Dentrix, Open Dental, DEXIS, and iTero is helpful, along with familiarity in procedures like antimicrobial placement, Arestin therapy, impressions, whitening tray fabrication, and care for pediatric, special needs, and sleep apnea patients.
We value professional growth and offer support through CE coverage, PTO, sick time, bonuses, a clothing allowance, and a dedicated hygiene coordinator. A 1-hour unpaid lunch break is provided. PPE available includes disposable gowns, latex gloves, nitrile gloves, N95 masks, and regular masks. Parking is available in a parking lot for convenience.
Compensation for this role is $55–$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
If you are a licensed hygienist who is eager to contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and grow with a committed team, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
