Part time hygienist

We are an established, patient-centered general dental practice seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team for Fridays. As a practice committed to high-quality care, co-diagnosis, and patient education, we are looking for a hygienist who brings a gentle chairside manner, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork and clinical excellence.

This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys building long-term patient relationships and taking a proactive approach to preventive and periodontal care. You will work closely with the clinical team to support comprehensive treatment planning, reinforce home care recommendations, and help patients feel comfortable and informed during every visit.

Responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening and treatment, fluoride treatment, oral cancer and oral pathology screening, dental charting, intraoral imaging, patient records management, and data entry. Additional duties include Arestin therapy, calculus removal, Cavitron use, Oraqix application, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide administration and monitoring, sterile procedures, CPR-ready clinical support, oral hygiene instruction, and patient education. Experience with Eaglesoft, scheduling for recall, and maintaining organized patient records is highly valued.

You will see one patient at a time and typically spend 1 hour with each patient, allowing time for thorough, individualized care. A 1-hour lunch break is provided, and parking is available in a convenient parking lot. For your safety and comfort, the office provides goggles, nitrile gloves, and regular masks.

We are especially seeking someone with strong skills in patient education, scheduling for recall, fluoride treatment, SRP, and prophy. The ideal candidate has at least 1–2 years of experience and works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and compassionate presence.
