POSITION DETAILS
Our Orthodontic Dental Assistants work chairside with Dr. Smith to provide an excellent patient experience while helping keep the clinic organized, efficient, and running on schedule.
This position includes both clinical responsibilities and supporting the day-to-day organization of the orthodontic clinic.
SCHEDULE
Flexible part-time to full-time hours, Approximately 20–35 hours per week
Tuesday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
2–3 Saturdays per month, 8:30 AM–2:00 PM
Must be available to work at both our New Braunfels and Spring Branch locations
This position requires regular travel between both office locations. We are looking for a team member who is comfortable and willing to work at either location based on the practice schedule. Candidates should consider the commute to both New Braunfels and Spring Branch before applying.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress
Prepare treatment rooms for patient care
Properly sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment
Take intraoral X-rays and clinical photographs
Assist with digital scans/impressions for orthodontic appliances and retainers
Remove and replace orthodontic wires, coil springs, elastics, and other appliances as directed by the orthodontist
Educate patients and parents regarding oral hygiene, braces care, aligner wear, and treatment instructions
Help maintain an organized, stocked, and efficient clinic
Assist with inventory and restocking
Complete clinic organization and other assigned duties during non-patient time
Work collaboratively with the doctor, clinical team, and front office to create an excellent patient experience.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing and able to regularly travel between our New Braunfels and Spring Branch locations
Reliable transportation to both locations
RDA certification preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
Orthodontic experience is preferred, but it is NOT required.
We are willing to train the right person who has a great personality, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn orthodontics. Candidates with previous dental assisting or orthodontic experience may qualify for higher starting compensation.
A working interview may be requested as part of the hiring process.
COMPENSATION
$20–$25 per hour, based heavily on experience and skill level
PLUS monthly bonus opportunities in addition to your hourly compensation.
