Duties
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
Check-in and check-out patients.
Process and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Address any discrepancies or issues related to claims and payments.
Assist patients with inquiries regarding their insurance coverage and billing statements.
Work closely with the dental office team to coordinate patient care and insurance needs.
Participate in assisting practice manager on projects.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental coding is preferred.
Experience with insurance verification processes is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using electronic dental systems for documentation and billing purposes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, teams, and insurance representatives.
