We are seeking a motivated dental assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice, which is limited to orthodontic treatment only. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy, patient-focused office where there are also slower days available for operatory preparation, supply organization, and other support tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3–6 months of orthodontic assisting experience and a strong interest in continuing in that role. Key responsibilities include chair side assistance, patient care, patient education, patient charting, dental charting, patient records, data entry, and oral hygiene instruction. Additional duties may include taking impressions or digital scans, instrument sterilization, X-rays, Invisalign support, special needs patient support, and use of tools such as, Sirona Orthophos, intraoral camera, and iTero scanners. CPR certification is preferred but not necessary. Cross-training in the front desk skills is not required.
We value professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A high school education is suitable for this role, while having a dental assisting certification with expanded functions is preferred. The lunch break is 45 minutes to an hour depending on patient load. Covered multi-story parking garage parking is available for staff convenience.
For safety, the office provides disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, latex gloves, N95 masks, and gloves.
Salary is negotiable. Benefits include partially paid medical insurance, dental insurance, AFLAC, retirement plan after a year, and vacation/sick days after a year.
