Full time preferred Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care practices, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Skills
Proficient knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience in assisting with various dental procedures, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology.
Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental services.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.
Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
