Seeking an Energetic and Motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Now Hiring: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (Pediatric Dentistry)
Location: East Lake Smiles Pediatric Dentistry (in Atlanta near Decatur)
Schedule: Part-time to start, with potential for future full-time hours

We are seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our friendly, patient-centered pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and enjoys working with children, parents, and a supportive team.

Responsibilities:

Provide chairside assistance in a pediatric dental setting
Comfortably and accurately place sealants
Communicate the dentist’s treatment recommendations to parents with clarity and empathy
Demonstrate effective and compassionate behavior management for young patients
Work confidently chairside with parents present

Qualifications:

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification required
Experience in a pediatric dental office strongly preferred
Certificate in coronal polishing is ideal (may be completed after hiring)
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Dependable, professional, and committed to long-term employment

Typical Schedule:

Thursday: 7:15 AM – 2:00 PM (no lunch break)
Friday: 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
One half Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (no lunch)

Additional days may be added, with the potential to transition to full-time employment
