Full/Part Time Hygienist Needed

We are seeking a full-time dental hygienist to join a small-town, single-doctor practice that provides general dentistry with a wide range of specialty services in a family-friendly, team-oriented environment. This position is available because we are growing and one of our hygienist is going on maternity leave and cutting back, and we are looking for someone who values quality care, strong patient education, and a supportive workplace culture.

Our office serves a busy patient base and is focused on helping families stay local for the care they need. We provide comprehensive treatment planning and coordinate a wide variety of services, including fixed and removable prosthetics, implants, sleep dentistry, clear aligners, wisdom teeth, root canals, and other restorative procedures. Patient education is an important part of every visit, and we are looking for someone who enjoys building trust and helping patients understand their oral health.

This role is a one-column hygiene position, with one patient at a time and appointment lengths typically ranging from 50 minutes to 1 hour for prophys, 30 minutes for child prophy, and 1.5 hours for 2-quadrant SRP. The schedule includes patient care from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a morning meeting at 7:45 AM, and a lunch break of 30 minutes to 1 hour based on preference. We use a rotating schedule Monday through Thursday and then Tuesday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with Open Dental, digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and iTero scanner. Additional strengths in anesthetizing, treatment planning, and time management are especially valuable. We are a collaborative team of 2.5 hygienists, 2 dental assistants, and capable front office staff, and we are looking for someone who is willing to help others when needed and contribute to a drama-free, cross-trained environment.

Our office provides gowns, latex gloves, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks. Parking is available in the designated lot in front of the office. Compensation is $60–$70 per hour, with a quarterly production bonus and full dental coverage for self and family (Minus lab costs), and scrub allowance. For full-time team members working 3+ days, benefits also include PTO, sick time, medical insurance, paid holidays, annual office CE, and 401(k) with matching.
