Lead Surgical Perio Assistant
LOCATION
Portland, ORWe are seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our private, single-doctor periodontics practice. This full-time role is ideal for a professional with 5+ years of experience who is focused on patient care, punctuality, and eager to learn cutting-edge technology. Applicants with less than 5 years of dental assisting experience need not apply.
In this position, you will support clinical care through chair side assistance, four-handed dentistry, instrument sterilization, sterile procedures, dental charting, patient charting, patient records, treatment planning, and radiology. Experience with alginate impressions, extractions, suture removal, implants, lasers, IV sedation monitoring, vital signs monitoring, expanded functions, and patient care is highly valued. Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend, intraoral camera use, x-rays - digital, inventory, ordering supplies, and CPR certification is preferred.
The workday includes a 1-hour lunch break. Parking is available inside our dedicated garage at no cost to you. We provide disposable gowns, face shields, nitrile gloves, regular masks, respirator masks, and additional PPE as needed—just ask, and we will provide it.
Benefits include medical insurance, PTO, and profit sharing. Compensation is $35 - $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
