Patient Care Coordinator/Insurance Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented professional to join our dental team as a Patient Care Coordinator with a focus on insurance. This full-time role is essential in supporting a General Dentistry practice that also provides Oral Surgery and Prosthodontic care in a single-doctor setting serving Medicaid, PPO, and Private patients.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in dental office operations and insurance coordination, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and documentation. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, updating patient information in Oryx dental, answering phones, and responding to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. You will verify insurance eligibility and benefits, submit dental claims, follow up on outstanding claims, and explain insurance coverage and breakdowns clearly.

Additional duties include coordinating referrals, filing, faxing, scanning, and supporting patient satisfaction through excellent communication and organization. Bilingual Spanish skills are required. Familiarity with dental office procedures such as X-rays - Digital, impressions, patient charting, infection control, vital signs monitoring, and related clinical support is a plus. This position offers $18–$25 per hour, a 1-hour lunch break, open parking in front of the building, and benefits including dental, health, life, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and employee discount. PPE is provided, including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, latex and nitrile gloves, regular masks, N95 masks, and respirator masks.
