Experienced Surgical Dental Assistant
LOCATION
Austin, TXGoehring Dental is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our clinical team.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused assistant who thrives in a fast paced, surgical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Assist doctor during surgical and implant procedures
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for sterile surgical workflow
Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral scans
Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions and support
Maintain strict OSHA, infection control, and sterilization protocols
Collaborate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of current surgical dental assisting experience (required)
Experience with IV sedation cases (required)
Current Texas RDA license
CPR certification
Experience with implant surgery, extractions, and bone grafting
Familiarity with digital dentistry (CBCT, intraoral scanning) a plus
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
