We are seeking a dedicated dental hygiene professional to join our full-time team in a general and private practice committed to exceptional care, ethical standards, and meaningful patient relationships. As a husband-and-wife dental team, we envision a practice rooted in integrity, compassion, and collaboration—where high-quality care meets a culture of balance and belonging. We value lifelong learning, leadership development, and a workplace where every team member is engaged, respected, and growing together.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in delivering comprehensive hygiene care while also embracing our unique team culture. We are a Kois-trained, fee-for-service practice that emphasizes thoughtful treatment planning, clear communication, and patient-centered conversations. Comfort with role playing meaningful patient discussions, presenting possible treatment options, participating in group case reviews, and engaging in book club is essential. We work collaboratively and support one another in building trust with patients, teammates, and the community we serve.
Clinical responsibilities include one patient at a time with dedicated appointment lengths that support quality care: typically 60 minutes for recall visits, 2 hours for new patients, and 2 hours for scaling and root planing appointments. Duties may include dental charting, periodontal screening and treatment, calculus removal, scaling and root planing, ultrasonic scaling, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, patient recall, and treatment planning. Experience with pediatric hygiene and special needs patients is valuable. Additional clinical skills may include antibiotic therapy, antimicrobial placement, Arestin therapy, irrigation agents, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide administration and monitoring, Oraqix, gingivitis screening and treatment, and support with open dental records, intraoral imaging, digital X-rays, and related technologies including Open Dental, Sirona, Carestream, iTero, and NOMAD Pro.
The ideal candidate is CPR certified, professional, proactive, and eager to learn. We are especially interested in someone who embraces challenges, works well with others, and wants to grow as a leader. We support our team with a one-hour lunch break, on-site parking, and PPE including goggles, nitrile gloves, regular masks, and two washable gowns laundered on site.
Benefits include a portion of medical insurance coverage and more than five weeks off per year. Salary is offered for this full-time opportunity.
