Derksen Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full Time Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team! As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients as well as perform light administrative duties. We have a small team so each of us are cross-trained to help in every department. Schedule:
Monday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Wednesday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Summer hours until Oct 1st then Wed 8:00-5:00)
Thursday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (availability to rotate to stay until 1:00 occasionally is appreciated)

Our dedicated team includes:
One Lead Dentist
One Area Manager
One Practice Lead
Three FT Front Desk Coordinators
Five FT Registered Dental Hygienist (a few temps on call)
Five FT Dental Assistants
One FT Dental Hygiene Assistant

Requirements:
X-Ray certification in state of Michigan preferred
Coronal Polish/Sealant Certification preferred but not required
High school graduate or equivalent
Chairside dental assisting with a wide range of general dentistry procedures
Sterilization protocols to OSHA regulations
CPR certification
Computer efficiency- charting and scheduling
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients
Integrity-focused work ethic
Team-player attitude
Ability to multi-task
Open-minded to new systems/techniques, direction and feedback
