Job Summary:
In the role of Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive dental cleanings, educating patients about optimal oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive environment that promotes continuous learning and professional development.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth to ensure optimal oral health.
- Assess patients’ dental health by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough examinations.
- Take and develop precise dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer local anesthesia in compliance with the best practices and patient needs.
- Provide clear and tailored oral hygiene instructions to patients, emphasizing the importance of good oral care.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records using Eagle Soft, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Adhere to stringent infection control protocols and safeguard patient safety throughout all procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient treatments.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Dental Hygiene license for WI.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program is required.
- Current CPR certification is a must.
Skills:
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques and a deep understanding of dental anatomy and oral health.
- Familiarity with electronic dental software, particularly Eagle Soft, for efficient patient management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and answer their queries with patience and clarity.
- Ability to identify patient needs and provide appropriate care recommendations based on assessments.
