Our Office is excited to announce a new opening for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist. We are a community-oriented practice that strives to provide exceptional dental care and promote the oral health of our patients. This is a Full-time position based in our state-of-the-art clinic. Please note that this role is not eligible for remote work as it requires direct patient interaction.
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in our team by delivering top-notch preventive care and education to our patients. Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct oral health assessments to identify disease or risk areas, including oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting.
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and sealant application to help maintain and improve patient oral health.
Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
Take and interpret dental radiographs (x-rays) to detect tooth and gum issues.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided, utilizing digital charting technologies.
Work closely with dentists to plan and discuss treatments for teeth or gum diseases and monitor the progress of patients.
Ensure strict compliance with infection control protocols and procedures.
Manage time efficiently to schedule and treat patients in a timely, productive manner that allows for comprehensive care and education.
Actively participate in the team meetings and contribute to the team’s efforts to achieve clinic goals.
Follow all clinical guidelines and procedures within the scope of practice and under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
Requirements
Active California Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
Proficiency in scaling, root planning, prophylaxis, and periodontal maintenance.
Strong patient education and communication skills.
Familiarity with digital charting and modern dental technology (experience with Open Dental software is a plus).
CPR certification.
Commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and maintaining a positive patient experience.
