Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our fun and caring family-friendly, private general dentistry practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, general dentistry practices, and proficiency in using dental systems such as Eaglesoft.

Duties:

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.

Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system.

Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Must follow strict health and safety protocols, including use of PPE.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.

CPR certification.

Proficiency in dental systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is preferred.

Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and HIPAA compliance.

Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.

Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

X-ray certified
