Hygienist

We are a well-established, patient-centered family/doctor-owned general dental practice with a long-standing reputation for quality clinical care, a welcoming atmosphere, and a loyal patient base built over many years. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join our full-time team in a supportive, collaborative environment.

This role is ideal for a professional who values patient relationships, clinical excellence, and working as part of a practice that emphasizes both preventive care and long-term oral health. You will see one patient at a time and typically spend 60 minutes with recall patients and 90 minutes with new patients, allowing you the time needed to deliver thorough, attentive care. A 30-minute lunch break is provided, with the option to extend it if desired.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive hygiene care and patient assessments while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and patient comfort. Duties will include calculus removal, prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal screening and treatment, gingivitis treatment, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene instruction, patient education, dental charting, impressions, and treatment planning. Experience with cavitron and ultrasonic scaling is important, as is proficiency in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide administration and monitoring, CPR certification, and working with pediatric hygiene and special needs patients. Strong scheduling skills and a patient-centered approach are also valued.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, team-focused, and committed to delivering quality care in a general dentistry setting. A college-level education and the clinical skills necessary to support a busy, growing practice are required.

We prioritize safety and support by providing appropriate PPE, including face shields, goggles, latex gloves, nitrile gloves, N95 masks, and regular masks.

Compensation for this part-time position is $47–$52 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We are looking for Mondays from 7:30/8am start to 4:30pm. In addition, we offer dental care benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off (PTO).
