Job Opportunity: Part-Time Dental Hygienist

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will share our enthusiasm for dentistry and a commitment to lifelong learning and teaching. We truly believe in treating patients holistically, taking into account their medical history alongside their dental health, and we are looking for someone who resonates with this approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planning, with a mastery of calculus removal using both hand instruments and a Cavitron.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, and provide gingivitis treatment and oral hygiene instructions to patients.
- Maintain detailed dental charting and patient records, ensuring accuracy in file maintenance and managing patient recall.
- Collaborate with our multi-doctor team to ensure seamless patient experiences while managing appointments through Dentrix.
- Educate patients about their periodontal health, restorative options, and the importance of preventative care.
- Fabricate custom whitening trays and pit and fissure sealants to meet individual patient needs.

Qualifications:

- ADA-accredited dental hygiene degree and a valid state license.
- Proficiency in dental hygiene skills, including but not limited to fluoride treatments, impressions, periochip placement, and the use of irrigation agents.
- Familiarity with DEXIS imaging systems and experience in patient education are highly desirable.
- Skills in vital signs monitoring and comfort in interacting with patients to address their concerns are essential.
