Your Role as a Financial Coordinator

● Post insurance and patient payments accurately and promptly.
● Send patient statements and help patients understand balances and estimated payments due.
● Follow up with insurance carriers on unpaid or denied claims and document each contact and next step.
● Coordinate missing information or clinical documentation needed for claim resolution.
● Identify and escalate filing-limit risks, coding questions, and high-balance concerns according to practice procedures.
● Answer phones and provide warm, professional support to patients.
● Assist with patient check-in and checkout when front-office coverage is needed.
● Support treatment-plan financial conversations and follow-up as directed by the practice.
● Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient account records.

Qualifications

● Dental front-office, billing, or insurance experience preferred.
● Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
● Confident, respectful communication with patients, teammates, and insurance representatives.
● Ability to prioritize account follow-up while supporting the needs of the front office.
● A patient-first mindset and commitment to accuracy, kindness, and service.
