Are you a compassionate and dedicated dental hygienist looking for a part-time position in a nurturing environment? As a team, we work together and partner with our patients to make dental visits as comfortable and meaningful as possible. We pride ourselves on fostering happy and healthy smiles for children and their families.

Our practice has a rich history, stemming from the vision of two pediatric dentists who dedicated their careers to enhancing the smiles of the Clarksville community. Under the leadership of Dr. Sarah Deeds, we continue this legacy, creating a friendly atmosphere where dental visits are light-hearted and fun. We believe in connecting with our patients exactly where they are and educating them about their oral health habits while providing top-notch dental care.

As a dental hygienist in our practice, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care through a variety of skills, including scaling and root planing, oral cancer screenings, fluoride treatments, and patient education. Your role will not only involve clinical hygiene but also the opportunity to make meaningful patient connections, helping them understand the importance of maintaining a healthy smile.

Qualifications we are looking for:

- Active RDH license in Tennessee
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft and digital radiography (training available if needed)
- Ability to provide exceptional patient education on dental health
- A learning heart and teachable spirit, with a willingness to grow and adapt in a supportive environment

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $40 and a flexible schedule that can fit into your busy life. After 90 days, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in our Simple IRA match program. While this position is part-time, there are potential pathways for full-time employment in the future, complete with additional benefits.

Once upon a time, two, Pediatric Dentists retired from Ft. Campbell but still wanted to help children in Clarksville grow happy, healthy smiles… and so it happened- In April, 1998, The Children’s Dentist was born!
Dr. Lary Deeds and Dr. Mike Weaver lovingly watched over and cared for the children in the community and as the children grew, the practice did, too!
In the early 2000s, a girl named Sarah (who was a dental assistant within the office) got married and moved to Florida, where she went back to school and became a General Dentist. After working for a couple of years in Florida, she moved back to Clarksville to be closer to family. She went back to work at her original dental home and eventually bought the place.
Since then, the two original dentists have retired and the office name has changed; but Dr. Sarah Deeds continues to carry on the family tradition of brightening the smiles of children AND their families.

We try to keep visits light and fun— we are known for being gentle and friendly. We help people learn about how to keep their smile healthy. We meet people where they are.
