Join Our Dental Team as a Dental Assistant!
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our state-of-the-art pediatric dental practice in a full-time capacity. With over 20 years of experience, our practice is committed to delivering exceptional care to children in a friendly and inviting environment.
As a vital member of our team, you will assist our Board Certified Pediatric Dentists, Dr. Steve and Dr. Dennis, in providing comprehensive dental care. Your role will include chairside assisting, performing coronal polishing, and taking radiographs using digital radiography techniques. Proficiency in Eaglesoft, DEXIS, and intraoral cameras is preferred, along with a solid understanding of data entry.

Dental Assistant Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience.
• Coronal polishing certification and nitrous oxide sedation monitoring certification preferred but not mandatory. (We will enroll you in the programs you need for certification, paid for by our doctors)
• Enthusiastic personality and must enjoy working with children.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills; be able to communicate effectively with patients, parents, and team members.
• Possess a helpful, team-oriented mindset; take initiative to help, and can anticipate the needs of others.
• Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while achieving the highest level of patient care.
• Well organized and reliable
• Eaglesoft dental software experience a plus.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Assist pediatric dentist chairside for all dental procedures
• Take digital radiographs
• Maintain patient records in dental software program, charting, notes, findings, etc.
• Present and explain treatment plans; Patient follow up
• Instruct patients (and parents) on oral hygiene
• Triage emergencies
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Sterilization of instruments, sanitization of treatment rooms and lab in accordance with OSHA, CDC, IDPH, and ADA guidelines
• Provide ongoing support to other team members
Work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am-5:15 pm. (1 hour lunch). Flexibility required.
