Wellness Dental Assistant (RDA) — Preston Ridge Dental, Frisco, TX
Full-time · $18–$30/hour, based on experience, skills and what you bring to the practice · Swing schedule with regular 3- and 4-day weekends

Who we are

Preston Ridge Dental is a wellness dental practice. We see the mouth as a window into whole-body health, and we treat the person, not just the tooth. We look for root causes, we preserve healthy tooth structure whenever we can, and we teach patients so they can own their health.

What you’ll actually do

You’ll work chairside with Dr. Ramsay as a true partner, not just an extra set of hands.

Assist with restorative, cosmetic and minimally invasive procedures
Learn and use ozone therapy (gas and ozonated water) in gum care and on deep cavities
Help with oral bacteria (DNA) testing and follow-up
Support clear aligner, whitening and composite veneer cases
Take X-rays and intraoral scans, and set up and break down rooms to a high standard
Help educate patients, reinforcing the why behind their care in plain, kind words
Over time, take ownership of an area of the practice, such as technology, lab cases or a new service

The honest part

There is a learning curve. Most of what we do isn’t taught in assisting school, so expect to study and practice even if you have years of experience. Our patients are health-conscious and ask a lot of questions, and you’ll learn to answer them. We’re a small team, so everyone pitches in. If you want a job where you clock in and do the same procedures the same way, this isn’t it.

You don’t need to know ozone or wellness dentistry already. We’ll train you. What you need is curiosity, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration [or ability to obtain within 60 days]
Current CPR/BLS certification
2+ years of chairside experience [or new grads welcome]

Schedule

We work a swing schedule: two weeks Monday–Thursday, then two weeks Tuesday–Friday. Every rotation gives you a 4-day weekend, 3-day weekends and one 2-day weekend.

Monday: 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (9:30 huddle, lunch at 2)
Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (7:30 huddle, lunch at noon)
Thursday: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (6:30 huddle, straight through)
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (7:30 huddle, straight through)

Additional hours are negotiable.
