Are you a passionate and dedicated dental hygienist looking to be a part of a warm and welcoming dental office? We are seeking a part-time registered dental hygienist to join our small family practice. We offer a friendly environment where patient care is our number one priority, and team collaboration is key.
Position Details:
- Part-time opportunity available: Thursdays from 9 AM to 5 PM (1-hour lunch break from 1 PM to 2 PM).
- Competitive pay structure.
- Work with one column of patients, allowing you to spend 1 to 1.5 hours per patient, ensuring high-quality care without feeling rushed.

Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our dental team, you will perform a range of essential duties, including:
- Executing prophylaxis and general gingivitis scalings, as well as scaling and root planing, to improve patients' oral health.
- Conducting periodontal screenings and documenting findings through advanced dental charting.
- Taking radiographs and intraoral photos, while engaging patients in education about their oral health conditions.
- Collaborating with the dentist to assist in diagnosing periodontal conditions and developing treatment plans.
- Adhering to infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment for our patients and staff.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in air polishing, calculus removal, and fluoride treatments, but also enjoys educating and encouraging patients in their oral hygiene practices. Experience with digital x-rays, Dexis and Open Dental software is preferred. A compassionate demeanor, attention to detail, and a gentle approach with patients, including pediatric hygiene, are essential attributes for success in this role.
