Dental assistant
LOCATION
Rockwall, TXWe are seeking a dedicated , bubbly and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring that patients have a comfortable experience during their visits.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed, performing some dental receptionist duties.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Conduct preliminary assessments including taking vital signs and medical history.
Operate intraoral scanner for imaging as required in various dental procedures.
Experience with intra-oral scanning
Proficiency DENTRIX is a plus
Familiarity with ADA dental coding and documentation processes is a plus.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and the ability to maintain a clean working environment.
