Simpson Smile Studio is a modern, growing, 5-star rated dental practice in the Brookhaven / North Druid Hills area, and we're looking for a motivated, personable, and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team!

We're seeking a hygienist who is excited to take ownership of our hygiene department, contribute to its growth, and help us continue building a practice centered around quality dentistry, patient education, and excellent customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage a two-column hygiene schedule efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care.
- Take ownership of the hygiene department, including patient retention, recall, periodontal protocols, and overall department growth.
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and other preventive services.
- Complete periodontal charting, radiographs, and thorough clinical documentation.
- Educate patients on their oral health, periodontal conditions, and recommended treatment.
- Communicate treatment recommendations clearly and confidently, helping patients understand the importance of completing their care.
- Proactively contact patients on the unscheduled hygiene list to encourage them to return for recommended treatment.
- Follow up with patients who have outstanding treatment needs, providing education and helping them overcome barriers to scheduling.
- Collaborate with the dentist and front office team to support treatment acceptance, scheduling, and continuity of care.
- Share responsibilities with team members and assist with daily office tasks when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental.

What We're Looking For

- Active Georgia Dental Hygienist License.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of periodontal treatment and preventive dentistry.
- Leadership mentality: Someone who takes initiative, accepts responsibility, and treats the hygiene department as their own.
- Growth mindset: Open to learning new skills, embracing new technology, and continuously improving.
- Team player: Willing to share tasks, support coworkers, and contribute wherever needed.
- Excellent communication skills: Able to build trust with patients, explain treatment needs, and encourage patients to prioritize their oral health.
- Patient-focused: Passionate about delivering exceptional care and creating positive patient experiences.
- Organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing a two-column hygiene schedule.
- Experience with Open Dental is a plus!
