Dental Assistant

We are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for our dental practice. To do well in this role you MUST HAVE DENTAL X-RAY CERTIFICATION and provide a great level of patient care along with the following criteria:

Responsibilities:
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Ability to assist restorative, endodontic, prosthodontics, oral surgery and implants procedures. Doctor is willing to train to further develop assisting skills on all procedures.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
- Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
- Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
- Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions
- Handling same day treatments assisting
- Performing any miscellaneous duties to keep office in good conditions (vacuuming, mopping, etc.)
- Arriving at office at least 15 minutes before the first patient
- Performing any office/dental-related tasks requested by dentist or office manager.

Requirements:
> Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program.
> Dental x-ray certification.
> Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
> High school diploma or equivalent.
> Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
> Strong communication skills.
> Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
> Able to provide great patient care.

Our office is a newly built, modern facility equipped with the latest technology to maximize efficiency in both front and back office operations. We are open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
