Dental Assistant

We are looking for a motivated Full time Registered Dental Assistant to help make our General Dentistry office more efficient and pleasant for patients. One of your key goals is to ensure excellent customer service and make the patients feel comfortable while you listen to, and take care of, their dental needs. You would be working chair side and sterilization.

Dental assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail. Having previous experience with a General Dentist is preferred. We will train you on all the specifics of our systems, but the main requirement is a hard-working attitude and a desire to serve our patients with genuine, friendly care. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

We are open Monday through Thursday, from 7:30am to 5:00pm. No weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups/x-rays ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments with Dentrix dental software
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills

Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant
Proficient in Dentrix
Making temporary crowns and bridges
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Good computer skills, digital scanning
Excellent communication and people skills
Able to multi-task and understands the daily flow of the office
Is a team player who works with other staff members, takes initiative and helps when and where needed
Well-organized and reliable
RDA license is required

We are seeking a temp hygienist for our San Jose office- Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 22nd.
Hours: 7:15-5:15pm
No. of patients: 7
The practice has 3 hygienists and 2 doctors.
You will have help with sterilization and perio charting.
