Dental Receptionist – Specialty Office (Perio & Endo)

Job Overview

We are a high-quality Periodontic & Endodontic specialty practice in Forest Hills, NY. We are looking for a reliable and professional Front Desk Receptionist who is efficient, detail-oriented, and highly skilled at accurately handling dental insurance and billing.

Responsibilities

* Greet and welcome patients with a warm, professional attitude
* Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently
* Handle insurance verification and billing (PPO, out-of-network, claim submissions) with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ensure proper coding and submission of insurance claims to maximize reimbursements
* Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
* Collect payments, explain treatment costs, and maintain precise financial records
* Manage email correspondence with other dental offices
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
* Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient flow
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to ensure a professional environment
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry as needed
* Deliver excellent communication and customer service to create a welcoming experience for patients

Qualifications

* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a dental office (required)
* Strong accuracy in billing, numbers, and financial transactions
* Familiarity with dental insurance verification and claims processing
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese is a plus but not required
