Dental Assistant

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our private practice in Sugar Land. Candidates must have at least two years of dental assisting experience. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and help the dentist during patient examinations and other dental procedures. Between patients, you will clean exam rooms and replenish supplies. When not working with patients, you will also assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones and organizing patient records as needed.
Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
• Gather patient information and health background
• Obtain and Record patient’s vitals
• Prepare the work area for procedures
• Obtain Consent Forms, Give Post Operative Instructions Verbally and Written
• Take digital x-rays, intra-oral photos, 3D imaging, and CT Scans
• Assist the dentist during examinations, dental procedures, and dental surgeries
• Take Digital Scans and Send to Labs or Mill with our in office Cerec
• Prepare materials for general dental procedures, Root Canal Re-treatments, Apicoectomies, Sinus Lifts, 3rd Molar Extractions (Erupted, Soft Tissue, Partially Impacted, Complete Impacted), Prp Membranes, Implant Placements, Clear Braces, and Laser Dentistry.
• Design and Fabricate Cerec crowns, surgical guides, night guards, splints, whitening trays with our 3D printer
• Draw patient’s blood and place in centrifuge to form PRP membrane
• Enter chart notes into Dentrix for Dr’s review
• Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and dental procedures
• Restock treatment areas and monitor inventory
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
• Dental Assistant Certificate with the State of Texas
• 2+ years of Dental Assisting Experience
• Current CPR Certification
• Excellent understanding of dental procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience with Laser Dentistry
• Experience with Dentrix
• Experience with Cerec Scanning and Milling
• Technology Savvy
• Willingness to keep up with latest technologies in dentistry

SALARY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE

We are a General Dental Private Practice that has been in business since 2017. We have the latest in technology with Dentrix, Digital X-Rays, Intra-Oral Cameras, 3-D Imaging, CT Scans, Laser Dentistry, Cerec Omni-Cam, Cerec Milling, and 3-D Printer. We do General Dentistry along with Cosmetics (Veneers, Smile Makeovers, Whitening, Implant Crowns, Bridges), Endodontics (Root Canals, Retreats, Apicoectomies) , Oral Surgery (3rd Molar Extractions, including impactions, Sinus Lifts, Implants, PRP Therapy)
We have 1 Doctor, 1 Front Desk, 1 Office Manager, 1 Full-time Hygienist 3 Dental assistants
