Role Description
The Dental Office Manager at HILLS PARK DENTAL is a full-time, on-site role based in Deer Park, NY. This role oversees the daily operations of the dental office, including scheduling appointments, managing the front desk, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. The Dental Office Manager supervises administrative staff, manages calendars for providers, handles patient records, and supports insurance verification, billing, and collections processes. This role also includes implementing and optimizing dental practice management systems, monitoring office performance metrics, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and office policies. The Dental Office Manager works closely with the clinical team to support excellent patient care and fosters a positive, professional environment for patients and team members.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Dental Practice Management and Practice Management, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and office administration
Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and external partners in a professional and empathetic manner
Understanding of Dental Care workflows and terminology to coordinate effectively with clinical staff and support patient education
Proficiency with Dentrix, electronic health records, and basic office technology (email, spreadsheets, word processing).
Experience with insurance verification, claims processing, billing, and payment collection
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and confidentiality
Prior experience in a dental or front office leadership role preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is a plus.
