General Dentist Wanted for growing independent Practice (Afternoon shift)

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated General Dentist to join our growing clinical team. The
ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, maintaining the
highest standards of clinical excellence and patient communication. As a core member of the practice, you will
diagnose and treat oral health issues, design restorative and preventative treatment plans, and lead an
efficient chairside team consisting of assistants and hygienists to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Treatment: Perform standard restorative and preventive procedures, including composite
restorations, simple and surgical extractions, crown and bridge work, and removable prosthodontics.
Diagnostics & Examination: Conduct comprehensive comprehensive exams, periodic recall exams, and emergency evaluations. Accurately interpret digital radiographs, intraoral camera images, and diagnostic scans to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
Patient Communication & Education: Clearly explain diagnoses, recommended treatment courses,
alternatives, and associated risks to patients. Utilize an educational, patient-centric approach to build long-term trust and optimize treatment acceptance.

Clinical Records: Maintain precise, complete, and legally compliant electronic health records (EHR).
Ensure clinical narratives, pre-authorization details, digital charting, and progress notes are documented
accurately and immediately following treatment.
Team Collaboration: Provide clinical leadership and direction to dental assistants and dental hygienists.
Collaborate effectively with front-office staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and productive chair
utilization.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations. Maintain a safe, sterile
environment for patients and staff by overseeing strict infection control protocols.

Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an ADA- accredited dental school.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in DC (or eligibility to obtain
prior to start date).
Certifications: Active DEA registration and state controlled substance certificate. Current CPR/BLS
certification.
Clinical Skills: Strong proficiency across all aspects of general restorative dentistry, minor oral surgery, Comfort treating both pediatric(<2% of current client base) and adult populations.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to put anxious patients at
ease. Excellent manual dexterity, clinical judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
