Part-Time Dental Hygienist - Tuesdays & Alternating Thursdays

LOCATION
Hummelstown, PA

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented dental hygienist to join our general dental practice on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a college-educated professional who is passionate about patient care, preventive dentistry, and supporting a collaborative clinical team. The right candidate will bring a strong commitment to quality, professionalism, and creating a positive experience for every patient.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive dental hygiene procedures, including periodontal charting, scaling and root planing as indicated, polishing, fluoride applications, and patient education. You will work closely with the dentist and clinical support team to help maintain efficient patient flow while ensuring each patient receives thorough, compassionate care. A strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages are essential.

Key responsibilities include reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and evaluating dental radiographs as permitted, assessing oral health conditions, and documenting findings accurately in patient records. You will also educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care recommendations, and the importance of preventive treatment. As part of a general practice, you will have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population and contribute to the long-term oral health of the community we serve.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach in every interaction. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and clinical needs are highly valued.

Qualifications for this position include completion of an accredited dental hygiene program, current licensure or eligibility for licensure, and a solid understanding of infection control protocols and modern dental hygiene techniques. Prior experience in a general dental office is preferred, though motivated new graduates may also be considered. Proficiency with dental software and a commitment to continuing education are important assets.

This full-time opportunity offers the chance to be part of a supportive environment where clinical excellence and patient comfort go hand in hand. If you are a motivated dental hygiene professional seeking a rewarding role in general dentistry, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

I know what it’s like to work for a bad practice. I feel like I wasted 4 years of my professional life. A classmate told me about Cloud Dentistry. In the past 8 months, I have worked in numerous practices, had better instrumentation to practice my craft, and have felt a great sense of respect. It’s amazing to feel free again while earning more money.

I really like the rating system for both the provider and the office so that it provides a brief snapshot of the level of service provided.
