Dental assistant
LOCATION
San Jose, CAWe are seeking an energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing team in a private general and cosmetic dentistry office focused on quality care. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of dental assisting experience and a high school education. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and committed to providing excellent support to both patients and the dental team.
Responsibilities include assisting with four-handed dentistry, patient charting, radiology, X-rays, alginate impressions, impressions, coronal polishing, pit and fissure sealants, temporary crown fabrication, restorative procedures, Invisalign support, and use of an intraoral camera. Additional duties include infection control, customer service, Dentrix documentation, and maintaining a smooth clinical workflow. Strong communication skills and knowledge of dental terminology are important.
Required qualifications include an X-ray certificate and coronal polishing certification. CPR certification is also preferred. Experience with DEXIS, Gendex, Dentrix, and digital imaging is a plus.
This hourly position offers full-time hours with a 1-hour lunch break. Benefits include health and dental insurance, PTO, sick pay, paid holidays and vacation, and a 401(k) plan. On-site parking is available.
