Role & Responsibilities:

As a Dental Hygienist, you will:
- Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by the dentist.
- Promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis using EMS Perio therapy, performing radiographic studies, and charting conditions of decay and disease.
- Administer local anesthetics if licensed and perform scaling, root planing, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate.
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms for patients by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping them.
- Provide information to patients and fellow team members by answering questions and requests.
- Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
- Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions, postoperative instructions, and providing reminders for their next dental hygiene visit.
- Conduct salivary testing, share results with patients, and guide them on their path to optimal oral health.
- Perform laser pocket disinfection to enhance periodontal treatment and improve patient outcomes.

Your weekly schedule will be about 32-38 hours per week.
