Duties
Lead and supervise clinical and administrative staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment
Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and sustainability
Manage medical office operations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate clinic activities, including patient scheduling, appointment management, and patient flow optimization
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and OSHA regulations
Monitor medical records accuracy, confidentiality, and proper documentation practices in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
Implement policies to improve patient experience while maintaining high standards of care in acute care or dental settings
Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes for medical supplies and equipment
Support clinical staff with medical administrative support tasks as needed
Skills
Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management with a strong understanding of clinic operations
Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms
Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and managed care reimbursement processes
Supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical administrative support functions
Ability to navigate complex workflows within hospital or clinic environments involving acute or critical care experience if applicable
Experience with human resources practices related to staffing, training, and employee relations in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of dental office or veterinary clinic operations is a plus but not required
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, vendors, patients, and external agencies
