Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, fluoride treatments, localized antibiotic therapy, and other preventive services within the RDH scope of practice
• Administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide when indicated and permitted by licensure
• Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Accurately document clinical findings, periodontal conditions, existing restorations, treatment performed, and recommendations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, disease prevention, and home care techniques
• Identify and communicate treatment needs to doctors and patients
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and sterilization standards
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and clinical equipment
• Collaborate with the administrative team to support recare, patient retention, and schedule efficiency
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment while providing an exceptional patient experience
What We’re Looking For
• Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR certification
• Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently while delivering exceptional patient care
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
• Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred but not required
