Job description
Dynamic dental team is looking for one competent dental assistant to join our well-established solo private practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic team member for four days per week from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Our friendly caring team prides themselves in providing excellent care to all our patients. Our office strives to excel in all areas of dentistry; safety, service, quality, and production.
Responsibilities
• Technical skills in addition to assisting doctor
• Clean, disinfect ,set up treatment rooms
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Explain treatment plan to patient and obtain informed consent
• Follow all infection control and safety guidelines for protection of patients, team members and self
Skills include but are not limited to the following.
• Proven experience as an expanded duty dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent hygiene and good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to wear personal protective devices and use work practice controls
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
